Research has shown a cause and effect relationship between attendance and college success. Your instructor will enforce the attendance policy . A student is allowed six (6) emergency absences on the Mon-Wed-Fri day class schedule. A student is allowed four (4) emergency absences on the Mon-Wed or Tues/ Thurs day or night class schedule. Each subsequent 75-minute absence will reduce the end-of-semester course grade by one(1) full letter grade . All absences, emergencies or not; count toward your semester limit. Frequent late arrivals and/or early departures will count as absences. The LSC-PA attendance policy does not provide make-up days . Students not in compliance with these standards can be dropped before the semester ends and receive an "F" course grade .
Course Compliance: This class time is scheduled for and fully devoted to this math course and related activities. Students are expected to bring their textbooks and school supplies to every class session, and be prepared to take notes & complete any in-class exercises . Students are expected to accomplish all scheduled homework assignments and all scheduled testing.
|Determination of Final Grade||
Chapter Homework 25%, Chapter Tests 50%, Final Exam 25%. The determination of your final grade can also be affected by attendance and/or Math Lab/LC 102 completion.
|Final Exam Date||May 11, 2011 - 6:30 PM|
