Course TitleIntro Teaching Prof
Course Description This course is an enriched integrated pre-service course and content experience that provides active recruitment and institutional support of students interested in a teaching career, especially in high need fields; it provides students with opportunities to participate in early field observations at all levels (P-12) with diverse student populations; and it provides students with support from college and school faculty, preferbly in small cohort groups for the purpose of introduction to and analysis of the culture of schooling and classrooms. The course content is aligned as applicable with the standards set by the State Board of Educator Certification and includes a 16 contact hours lab component, all of which must be in P-12 schools.

Academic dishonesty in any form will not be tolerated.  Please consult the student handbook for consequences of academic dishonesty.  These policies will be strictly enforced.

 

 Facility  Policies

        No food, drinks, or tobacco products are allowed in the classroom.

        Only students enrolled in the course are allowed in the classroom.

        Cell phones and/or pagers are allowed ONLY on vibrate mode. Leaving the classroom to answer a page or phone call may constitute an absence or a tardy.
