    Former LSCPA dance captain named to Rockets dance team

    Jacqueline Roberts near seawallJacqueline Robinson, once the captain of the Lamar State College Port Arthur Seahawks dance team, has been named one of the newest members of the Houston Rockets Power Dance Team.

    Robinson worked her way through three preliminary auditions before becoming one of the 17 finalists selected to compete on July 5 at the Toyota Center in Houston for a spot on the team. She was selected for one of just 13 spots and will represent the Rockets for the upcoming season.  

    Robinson graduated from Opelousas Catholic School in Lafayette, Louisiana before attending Lamar State College Port Arthur. She graduated in Spring 2016 with an associate’s degree in Academic Studies. She is now a student at the University of Houston and employed by Universal Cheerleaders Association in Houston.
