ASSET Test

Lamar State College-Port Arthur charges $30.00 for the ASSET Test. Test times and dates vary, please call the Learning Center for more information.

Examinees may use a four-function, non-programmable calculator (with square root and percent keys). Examinees must bring their own calculators to the test administration.  The testing center will not provide calculators. Examinees may not bring with them or use during the test administration any of the following types of calculators: calculators watches, scientific or graphing calculators, pocket organizers, calculators with paper tape, calculators that make noise or talk, laptop or notebook computers, calculators with an alpha-numeric keyboard.

The following items are required in order to take the test: the referral form from the admission advisors, the paid receipt from the business office, a Photo ID (government issued ID or school ID).  A four function, non programmable calculator is optional.

Students needing special accommodations must be identified and documented on the Request for Special Accommodations Form located in the Special Populations/Disability Services Office in room 231B of the Madison Monroe Building.
