Lamar State College-Port Arthur charges $30.00 for the COMPASS Test. This test is offered on a walk-in basis,
Monday thru Friday from 8:15 am to 2:00 pm. Examinees may use a four-function, non-programmable calculator
(with square root and percent keys). Examinees must bring their own calculators to the test administration.
The testing center will not provide calculators.
Examinees may not bring with them or use during the test
administration any of the following: calculator watches, scientific or graphing calculators,
pocket organizers, calculators with paper tape, calculators that make noise or talk, laptop or notebook computers,
calculators with an alpha-numeric keyboard.
The following items are required in order to take this test:
- a referral form from an admission advisor
- a paid receipt from the business office
- Photo ID (government issued ID or school ID)
- A four function, non programmable calculator is optional
Students needing special accommodations must be identified and documented on the Request for Special Accommodations
