Kobi Fabian Chiasson was born and resides in Port Arthur, Texas. He spent his high school years at Port Neches Groves High School. He is studying Computer Programming and Game Design at Lamar State College Port Arthur (LSCPA) and is currently President of the Gaming Club. Kobi may be a little awkward, and sometimes have personal issues because he is an introvert, but he always gets things done, no matter how difficult it is. He is known for his knowledge in not only Video Game History, but also can code a program for you, whether its C#, Java, or JavaScript.

Reason for Running: He is looking forward to serving as the Student Government Association President, making sure everyone succeeds on-campus. He will also lead the students to departments on campus which provide mental help, as he has also dealt with his own mental problems in the past.

Oscar Javier Villanueva Cervantes was born in Guadalajara, Jalisco, México. He now resides in Port Neches, Texas, and spent his high school years at Port Neches Groves High School. He is studying Academic Studies at Lamar State College Port Arthur (LSCPA) and has always been involved in events on campus and is a member of the Emerging Leader Program since 2023. Oscar is agreeable, calm, happy, has a great attitude, and is a positive thinker. He is deeply passionate and determined and is known for his silly personality.

Reason for Running: He is looking forward to serving as Student Government Association President. His goals are to get students together to have fun and represent the voice of all students.

Nataly Vargas was born in California in a small town called Fresh Camp. At the age of three her family moved to Sahuayo Michoacan, a city full of culture and traditions in Mexico. She was raised there until the age of 13 when her family moved to Texas. It has been currently four years since she started her studies here in Port Arthur and learning not only another language but also another lifestyle, but she did not see it as a barrier, she saw it a cause to improve herself day to day and become a better version of herself. She is currently studying Graphic Design at Lamar State College Port Arthur as her passion for art guides her throughout her life, she is also the President of the Graphic Design Club here at Lamar State College Port Arthur. She is known on campus for always having a smile on her face. Nataly cares to be polite and help everyone in any way she can.

Reason for Running: Nataly is looking forward to being the SGA Vice President to help students on campus have a better college experience.

Emmanuel Saldana was born in Bridge City, TX and one day he found himself at Lamar State College Port Arthur. He studied Sound Engineering and received his associate degree in 2022 and has now found himself furthering his skillset and passion for knowledge by pursuing another degree in HVAC. Manny is a talented guitarist and plays in a local band. When he is not cooking up spicy beats, he enjoys the outdoors and going on drives just for fun. He hopes to be the best secretary at LSCPA and the entire world. Emmanuel loves helping his peers and the student body.

Reason for Running: He is looking forward to joining the SGA team and making an impact in his community!

Bryant Garcia is a first-year student at Lamar State College in Port Arthur, studying academic studies. He graduated from Port Neches High School and has a passion for playing soccer and participating in various events. Bryant's enthusiastic approach to academics and extracurricular activities reflects his commitment to personal growth and community engagement. He makes it a goal to attend campus events, including sports games, cultural celebrations, and academic lectures and looks for opportunities to volunteer for campus activities or student initiatives. In 2023, he volunteered and helped SGA eagerly with event planning, community service projects, and campus outreach programs.

Reason for Running: Bryant plans to do more for students at LSCPA as an SGA Senator and be the student body voice as well.

Edrik R. Harrison has served as a 2023-2024 SGA Senator and is currently a Student Ambassador at Lamar State College Port Arthur. He is currently studying under the Process Operator degree plan. He has already earned a degree in Software Development while maintaining on-campus responsibilities and studying as a double major. Edrik lives, works, and is from Port Arthur, Tx and is an active member of the community. He also represents the Victorious Youth Mentorship Program and is a member of Greater True Vine Church in Port Arthur.

Reason for Running: If re-elected to serve as a Senator for LSCPA's SGA, he plans to enhance the experiences felt by students who attend and participate in student activities and student events.

Brian Lopez, a Commercial Music Performance major was born and raised in Port Arthur, Texas. He is a passionate person and a great guitar player. He loves to be involved and serve the community and has decided to run for the senator position in the Student Government Association.

Reason for Running: Brian is looking forward to serving the student body at Lamar State College Port Arthur.

Paytlee Picou will be a sophomore at Lamar State College Port Arthur (LSCPA) in the Fall of 2024. She was born in Beaumont, TX and has been living in Groves, TX for most of her life. She now resides in Sabine Pass, TX, where she attended school. She is majoring in nursing, more specifically pre-LVN. Paytlee is a cancer survivor and was treated at Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston, TX. Ever since she was cured, she has wanted to be a nurse. Paytlee is a very courageous, honest, and kind young woman.

Reason for Running: Her goal as a 2024-2025 senator is to be the voice of the student body, prioritize student life/ideas, and make sure everyone feels welcomed and heard at LSCPA.
