The goal of the Department of Business and Technology is to provide quality instructional programs. The programs offered by the department include Accounting, Automotive Technology, Computer Information Systems, Cosmetology, Instrumentation Technology, Office Administration, Paralegal, and Process Technology. In 2017 two new programs, Drafting and Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning will begin.
The department assures quality instructional programs by utilizing industry experts to assist in the development of a curriculum that meets the needs of business, industry, public agencies, and entrepreneurship. Programs have earned approval from the Texas Workforce Investment Council and the American Bar Association that assures a quality curriculum. In addition, highly-qualified faculty committed to teaching excellence provide instruction in the classroom and labs. Each faculty member is qualified and has degrees, credentials, and experience in the discipline.
Each technology program is designed to prepare students for jobs in high demand areas with “real world” training. Business and Technology students get a true hands-on experience in the classroom and laboratory.
