Classes delayed until 10 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 19

Classes at Lamar State College Port Arthur will be delayed until 10 a.m. on Thursday, September 19, 2019 due to the continued potential for flooding in the area.

Any additional decisions will be made and announced by approximately 7 a.m.

As you travel to campus, please be aware of areas that are prone to flooding. Do not drive through standing water. The average automobile can be swept off the road in 12 inches of moving water.

Administrators are continuing to monitor the situation. Additional information will be sent by email, text message, social media posts and via local media outlets.
