College officials monitoring weather situation

MARCH 22, 2022 Weather Update, 8:30 a.m.:

Students, Faculty & Staff:

It appears that the weather will be deteriorating over the next several hours as rain and winds increase over Southeast Texas. With that in mind, if you are in a safe place at the moment, you should stay there until the weather passes. Campus will officially open this morning at 11 a.m. If you are already on campus, it is recommended that you stay there.

As always, it is important that you make the best decision for your own safety when deciding to travel in these weather situations. Do not attempt to travel if you feel it is unsafe to do so.

LSCPA officials are monitoring the weather in Southeast Texas predicted for Monday night and Tuesday. The area could see significant rain from this event.

At this point, the campus will be open as usual on Tuesday but you should monitor your LSCPA email, website (www.lamarpa.edu), and the College's social media accounts for any updates.
