    What you need to know about the Spring 2023 Graduation Ceremony


    Lamar State College Port Arthur will graduate its largest class in more than 20 years when our students take to the stage this Friday, May 12, at 5:30 p.m. in the Carl Parker Center. Here are some things you need to know:
    - We are expecting a capacity crowd.
    - Doors open at 4:00 PM
    - No re-entry
    - No ticket is required for children 2 years old and under
    - No balloons
    - No bull horns, cow bells, or air horns
    - Doors will temporarily close at 5:15 PM for the processional.
    - If you arrive at or after 5:15 PM, we will try to get everyone seated as quickly as possible before the processional begins. However, your entire party may not be able to be seated together.
    - No guests will be allowed to enter during the processional.
    - After the processional, Student Ambassadors will take guests to available seats.
    - Concessions will be open from 4 – 5 PM
    - Phi Theta Kappa will be selling roses from 4 – 5 PM
    - The commencement ceremony will be live streamed at www.lamarpa.edu/Current-Students/Graduation/Livestream
