Lamar State College Port Arthur Professor Brian Lynch was recently featured on Decode Econ, an economics podcast hosted by Dr. Abdullah Al-Bahrani, in an episode titled “The Leaky Cup with Meena Beri and Brian Lynch.” The conversation explores innovative teaching strategies, student success, and the important role community colleges play in expanding educational opportunities.

To demonstrate inflation, he uses cups with holes to illustrate how purchasing power decreases as prices rise. He also uses pool noodles, painter's tape, and sidewalk chalk to help students visualize supply and demand.
