The Accounting Program will allow students to develop essential skills necessary for industry. Students will learn to understand the financial world through the use of ledgers, financial statements, and budgets. This degree introduces students to courses such as computerized accounting, managerial accounting, and spreadsheet development.

According to O*NET OnLine the role of accounting has a median salary of $16.36 per hous. Other areas of the state have a slightly higher salary range.

How long does it take to complete the Accounting Technology degree?

Students are able to complete an associate degree in two years. The length of time to complete a degree may be reduced if students enroll in more than fall and spring semesters or if they earn advanced placement. A certificate usually takes one year to complete.

Do you offer internships for this degree?

There are internship opportunities for accounting students. Typically, during your final semester on campus, students work as an intern at a local industry. The internship experience can be placed on your resume as work experience. Many internship experiences have led to networking opportunities and full-time employement.
