All Summer I classes moved online

Lamar State College Port Arthur will conduct its Summer I semester exclusively online as a precaution against the COVID-19 pandemic.

The college's Summer I semester runs from June 1 to July 6, 2020 and includes both technical and general education studies. LSCPA administrators decided to move Spring face-to-face classes to online instruction in late March and the college is completing the semester in that online modality.

“It only makes sense to be diligent in protecting our students, faculty and staff from the coronavirus the best we can,” LSCPA President Dr. Betty Reynard said regarding the Summer I decision.

Executive committees for each campus will continue to monitor the coronavirus pandemic as they determine the best path to take for additional summer semesters and the upcoming Fall semester.
