Congratulations Graduate

Lamar State College Port Arthur hosts three graduation events each year, with official ceremonies in May and December.

Deadlines and Important Dates

June 11 Summer 2025 Graduation Application opens.
July 27 Last day to apply, pay diploma, cap and gown graduation fees, and diploma mailing fees.
August 11 Last day to submit official transcripts with final grades for transfer coursework.
August 11 Official Graduation Date – There is no commencement ceremony in August. Optional December 12, 2025 ceremony participation available.
August 20 First day to pick up diplomas and official transcripts from Records Office.

Graduation Instructions

  1. Apply for graduation. To apply: Use the Online Graduation Application Form

    Candidates who do not meet the deadline must reapply for next semester’s graduation.
  2. Pay the Diploma Fee. Graduation candidates must pay a $15 Diploma Fee to the Business Office. Candidates may pay by telephone or through the MyLSCPA account in MyServices. Contact the Business Office at 409-984-6126 for additional information.
  3. Transfer Coursework.  Students that are currently attending or have attended other college(s) must include an unofficial transcript(s) when applying for graduation. Official transcripts with final grades must be submitted by the last day of the semester.
  4. Financial Obligations. Graduation candidates must pay ALL outstanding debts.

    • Business Office at 409-984-6126.
    • Library at 409-984-6218 (check if you have books or money owed).
    • Financial Aid at 409-984-6204.
  5. Diplomas. Graduates who participate in the ceremony will receive their diploma at commencement. If you would like your diploma mailed to you, pay the $11.00 diploma mailing fee at the Business Office (409-984-6126) by the application deadline.
  6. Check your email regularly. All graduation correspondence will be emailed to your lamarpa.edu address.  A required survey that is part of your graduation application process will be emailed to you. Your diploma will not be released until the survey is completed.
