Texas Genuine Career and Technical Education LogoThe Business and Industrial Technology Department provides quality instructional programs that prepare students for entry into the workforce. A learning environment in the new multi-million dollar Umphrey Industrial Training Center provides hands on training using state-of-the-art equipment. The experience offers students a "real world" understanding of each program. 

Programs offered in the department include Accounting, Barbering, Business Administration, Business Office Management, Cosmetology, Culinary Arts & Hospitality, Drafting, Graphics Design, Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning, Instrumentation Technology, Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) Manufacturing, Medical Coding, Medical Office Administration, Paralegal, Process Technology, Social Media and Digital Communications Management, and Software Developer/Game Design. 

Quality instructional programs utilize industry experts to assist in the development of programs that meet the needs of business, industry, public agencies, and entrepreneurship. Several programs have been examined and approved by several organizations. The Texas Workforce Investment Council approved the Process Technology Program, while the Paralegal Program is approved by the American Bar Association. 

Superior faculty are committed to excellence in classrooms and labs. Each faculty member has the degrees and credentials along with significant experience in the field.
